What to expect.We are meeting at 11:00 a.m. at the South Milwaukee United Methodist Church, 1327 Marshall Avenue, South Milwaukee, with Rev. Peter Haskins, Pastor. We meet in the Parlor/Chapel. It is an informal setting. Services last anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.
What we believe.It is our vision that with the help of God, we will be a spiritually united body, empowering the members to be fully involved in the growing of the church. Our purpose is to glorify God by bringing ALL people to Christian Faith through word & Sacrament, empowering us to live the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Blessings my friends, my name is Peter D. Haskins. I am excited about becoming the new settled pastor with St Luke’s UCC. I was born on Dec 17, 1967 in Connersville, Indiana. My sister Rebekah and I were raised as preacher’s kids with our wonderful parents Rev Jack and Dolores Haskins. I spent the majority of my life growing up and working in Southern and Central Indiana with my education coming from Indiana University (BA English 1989) and a Master’s in Divinity from CTS in 1993. I have not only ministered to 8 separate congregations but also done social work in Chicago as well as founded a drug rehabilitation ministry in Vincennes, Indiana. Since moving to Wisconsin in 2020 I have been the campus minister at two local retirement communities in Menomonee Falls and Germantown with Presbyterian Homes and Services. I am married to Emily and we have 3 children: Dylan (23), Catey (19) and Jack (14) as well as two dogs Rascal and Wanda…so looking forward getting to know you all!
